The visitor center at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park is located ¼ mile north of the park’s entrance. Construction of the Visitor Center was completed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934, and it houses the Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation's collection of artifiacts from the On-a-Slant Village and Fort Abraham Lincoln. Here at the Visitor Center, you are welcome to peruse the many displays, examine the artifacts, and learn about the Mandan Culture and the Frontier Army that once occupied this area.
Parking for the Visitor Center is located on the east side of the building. Plenty of parking is available, whether you are traveling by car, RV, or bus.
You can also purchase interpretive passes for tours of the Custer House and On-a-Slant Village at the Visitor Center desk.
Enjoy your visit to Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park!
