The visitor center at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park is located ¼ mile north of the park’s entrance. Parking for the visitor center is located adjacent to a beautiful granite building, which was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930’s. Plenty of parking is available, if you are traveling by car, RV, or by bus. The visitor center is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Here at the visitor center, you are encouraged to explore the many displays, examine the artifacts, and learn about the Mandan Culture and the Frontier Army that once flourished here. A video presentation is available in our theatre as well.
At the visitor center, interpretive passes are available for guided tours of the On-a-Slant Village and the Custer House. If you are hungry, there is a concession stand located adjacent to the parking lot for your enjoyment with plenty of picnic tables to dine on. Public restrooms are located at the front of the visitor center.
Please enjoy your stay at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park.
